SpecDevCon Privacy Notice

Effective date: August 16, 2026

This notice explains how Agent Driven Development LLC handles personal information collected through SpecDevCon and specdevcon.com.

Who is responsible for your information

Agent Driven Development LLC, an Indiana limited liability company, operates SpecDevCon and is the controller of the personal information described in this notice.

Privacy questions and requests may be sent to privacy@agentdrivendevelopment.com.

The date-notification form is disabled for the informational launch. A valid physical postal address will be included in every notification email before email collection or delivery is enabled.

What we collect at launch

The informational site receives ordinary web requests and limited hosting and security logs. It does not accept date-notification email addresses while the form is disabled.

If the date-notification form is enabled later, the site will collect only the information needed to operate that request:

  • the email address you enter;
  • your request and consent to receive the SpecDevCon date announcement;
  • the version of the consent language shown to you and the time you submitted and confirmed your request;
  • confirmation, unsubscribe, and suppression status;
  • the page and permitted campaign information associated with your request; and
  • limited technical and security information, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, request logs, and evidence needed to prevent abuse and investigate failures.

We do not use this list to send a general newsletter. We do not enroll you in Agent Driven Development email. We do not use this consent for program, ticket, sponsor, or partner marketing.

If we later add ticketing, attendee profiles, surveys, accessibility requests, recordings, or other conference services, we will update this notice before collecting the additional information.

Why we use it and our legal bases

Purpose Information Legal basis under the GDPR and UK GDPR
Confirm your request and send the SpecDevCon date announcement Email address and consent record Your consent, Article 6(1)(a)
Process an unsubscribe request and retain a minimal suppression record Email address or a one-way representation of it, opt-out status, and time Compliance with law, Article 6(1)(c), and our legitimate interest in honoring your choice, Article 6(1)(f)
Secure the site, prevent abuse, diagnose delivery problems, and maintain reliable records Limited technical, security, and delivery information Our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable site, Article 6(1)(f)
Respond to rights requests and legal obligations Relevant request, identity-verification, and response records Compliance with law, Article 6(1)(c)

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we use limited information, restrict access, set short retention periods, and consider the effect on the people involved. You may object to this processing as described below.

Your choice and withdrawal

Joining the date-notification list is optional. The checkbox is not preselected. We send a confirmation link so that the address is not activated until the request is confirmed.

You may withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. It must be as easy to withdraw as it was to join.

The date-notification list is not a ticket, reservation, registration, or promise that the conference will occur.

Who receives information

We disclose personal information only to people who need it to perform the purposes above and to contracted service providers that support categories such as website hosting, email delivery, security, backup, and professional advice. Providers may process information only under appropriate instructions and safeguards. They may not use the list for their own marketing.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or the service, investigate misuse, or complete a corporate transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice obligations.

We do not sell the date-notification list. We do not give it to sponsors or partners. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International processing

Agent Driven Development LLC is based in the United States. Information submitted from another country may therefore be processed in the United States and in other countries where our contracted providers operate.

Where data-protection law requires a transfer mechanism, we will use an applicable adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards, or another lawful mechanism and will assess supplementary safeguards where required. You may contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

How long we keep information

  • An unconfirmed request is deleted or anonymized after 30 days.
  • A confirmed date-notification record is kept until the earliest of: you unsubscribe; we decide not to proceed with the conference; 30 days after we send the date announcement; or two years pass without conference activity. If two years pass while the plan remains active, we will ask for fresh permission or delete the record.
  • After an unsubscribe, we keep only the minimum suppression information reasonably needed to avoid emailing the address again and to demonstrate that we honored the request.
  • Routine security logs are targeted for deletion within 90 days unless a specific incident, legal obligation, or dispute requires a longer period.
  • Rights-request and compliance records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate our response and meet legal obligations.

Deletion from active systems may be followed by deletion from limited-access backups on their ordinary rotation schedule.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to:

  • know whether we process your personal information and obtain access to it;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • ask us to delete information;
  • restrict certain processing;
  • receive information you provided in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw consent at any time; and
  • complain to your local data-protection authority.

We do not use the launch data for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Send a request to privacy@agentdrivendevelopment.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the request, but we will not ask for more than needed. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, we ordinarily respond within one month. A complex or numerous request may take up to two additional months; if so, we will explain the extension within the first month. Other laws may provide different response periods.

You will not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request, we will explain why and identify any appeal or complaint route required by applicable law.

Children

SpecDevCon is a professional conference site and is not directed to children. Do not submit an email address if you are under 16. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in circumstances requiring parental authorization, we will delete it unless the law permits us to retain it.

Cookies and similar technologies

The launch site is intended to operate without advertising or non-essential tracking technologies. Essential security or preference storage may be used where necessary. The current categories and choices are described in the Cookie Notice.

We will not activate a non-essential cookie or similar technology in a jurisdiction requiring prior consent until the visitor makes an affirmative choice.

Security and incidents

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the limited information we collect. No internet service can promise absolute security.

We maintain a process to investigate personal-data incidents and make notices to regulators and affected people when required by law.

Changes to this notice

We will post material changes here with a new effective date. We will not use a past consent for a materially different email purpose. If a change requires new consent, we will ask before using the information for that purpose.
